Jon Murphy Training Again After Last Fight

January 14, 2010

Jon Murphy texted us and said he just finished his first moderate-to-high-intensity cardio session since his last fight (he had injuries and was sick).  He said that with AdapTx Labs’ products CardioFactor and PreFight he got his HR up to 170 and was cruising, not even breathing hard.  He said “endurance and energy very noticeably increased”.  He also said, “I’ve been using so many different supps over the years, that it’s truly an inspiring moment when you find something that does what it claims!”  (and we didn’t put him up to the testimonial!)

Thanks, Jon.  We feel sorry for your next opponent.

Patrick Cote in UFC 113 and a Great Gil Melendez Interview

January 13, 2010

Two cool things to share from AdapTx Labs:

1)  UFC middleweight and AdapTx Labs fan, Patrick Cote, is set to fight Alan Belcher in UFC 113 in May. The event will be held in Patrick’s hometown of Montreal. All the best to Patrick as he continues training (and taking CardioFactor)!

2)  FiveKnuckles.com has a great interview with AdapTx Labs’ fighter Gilbert “El Nino” Melendez.  Be sure to check it out:  http://www.fiveknuckles.com/mma-news/Gilbert-Melendez-Exclusive-El-Nino-stays-calm-in-the-center-of-the-storm.html

Melendez vs Thompson Countdown…

December 8, 2009

AdapTx Labs’ fighter Gilbert “El Nino” Melendez will be attempting to unify the Strikeforce lightweight title against Josh “The Punk” Thomson on December 19th.  The card is totally stacked and we can’t wait for Gil’s fight, as well as the rest of the event on Showtime.  Gil looks great and his cardio is in top form, as always!

Grapplemonkey reviews CardioFactor

October 2, 2009

Check out this review of CardioFactor by Grapplemonkey.  It’s great to hear that practitioners are really getting value from the hard work we did to come up with just the right formulation for fighters. Train and take CardioFactor and you too will take your cardio to the next level.

The Ultimate Gas-Out

September 30, 2009

Last week’s episode of TUF (McSweeney VS Shivers) explains why AdapTx Labs got into the business of developing scientifically based formulations to help fighters with cardio and energy.  Do these guys need to get any bigger? Any stronger? I don’t think so. If either one of these guys had any gas left in the tank in the second round, it would have been a guaranteed victory instead of going to the judges for decision.

Frankly, I find it pathetic that professional athletes at this level perform so miserably. It’s embarrassing for the individuals and for the UFC. It’s akin to professional basketball players that can’t make free throws. It’s why we at AdapTx Labs believe that cardio is the single biggest area of opportunity for fighters to improve their fighting game.

El Nino in the House! Gilbert Melendez and His Training Center

Gil giving John a little attention on the Airdyne

I was visiting with Gilbert Melendez yesterday at his training center in San Francisco. It’s a loft that has been morphed into a full-on training facility AND home for Gil, his girlfriend and dog.  It’s also clearly become home for many of the Skrap Pack team members who train there and also help Gil keep the place looking great.  Gil is serious about making this a special group…a family. I’ve spent several days there over the past month, and have felt very welcome and comfortable watching the guys train and getting to know them. Without exception, Gil and each one of his team members is very hard working, intelligent and fun to hang out with.  The El Nino training center is a true reflection of what AdapTx Labs means when we say “Fight Smart!”.
